Our Team

Robert is a lifelong resident of the town and has over forty years’ experience in the industry both locally and throughout the South West having trained initially and become a Chartered Surveyor with a large regional firm of estate agents and auctioneers – now GTH – and later as MD of Alder King residential with branches from north of Bristol to the South Coast. When he isn’t busy advising on all things property related, Robert can be found out and about on his bike taking part in charity events such as The Great Exmoor Ride and the Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance Coast to Coast Challenge.

Kate has been with the business pretty much since its inception. With her unfaltering enthusiasm and attention to detail, Kate is a Partner and the glue that binds the business together. When she’s not directing operations, she can be found tending her garden or running around the Blackdown Hills with the occasional marathon thrown in!

Ben is a dedicated and experienced estate agent, deeply rooted in our vibrant local community. With a comprehensive understanding of the local property market, Ben brings a wealth of expertise to every transaction, ensuring smooth and successful outcomes for clients. Ben’s own team ethos extends outside the office when playing rugby or cricket for local teams.

With extensive local knowledge from being at school in Taunton and a BA in Architecture under her belt, her passion for property brought her back to the South West to start a career in agency. When not in the office or out on viewings, Rohini enjoys painting and exploring the local area with her dogs & friends including the occasional stop for a restorative cider along the way!

A Taunton native, Dominic brings 8 years of property expertise and a passion for helping people find their perfect home. Away from the office, he’s a keen traveller with a taste for sunshine, snowy escapades and the excitement of Formula 1. At home he unwinds with Bruce, his Siberian Forest Cat. With his extensive local knowledge, love of adventure and upbeat energy, Dominic adds enthusiasm and energy to the team.

When Karen joined Robert Cooney in 2016 she brought with her 20 years’ experience of administration. She provides invaluable support through her varied and busy role coordinating all new instructions and bringing them to life online. Aside from work, Karen is a busy parent to three girls and a two kittens, all keeping her on her toes.

Christina has worked in the industry for over two decades and having joined the team in April 2024, she brings her detailed local knowledge and experience to help both clients and buyers alike. When not working, Christina is happy whipping up a light sponge or planting out her tomatoes!

Gemma began her property career in 2006 with an award-winning independent London estate agent. Professional, personable and a natural people-person, she is committed to delivering a first-class service and consistently exceeding client expectations. Her 13 years’ experience in B2B fleet sales further strengthens her communication and account-management skills. Outside work, Gemma is family-focused, enjoys supporting her boys’ sporting activities, and loves long dog walks with her Labrador Retriever, Ronnie.

Bazil is Robert’s energetic spaniel who graces the office with his presence on grooming days, where he can usually be found supervising proceedings and charming visitors. Bazil prefers to concentrate his property knowledge on rooms where food is served or a comfortable lie down is possible.
